ABOUT

My name is Joanna Latarska. I am a third year BA Fashion student at University of Hertfordshire. Previously I studied at London College of Fashion for three years, two years of Tailoring Degree and one year of Foundation Diploma in Art and Design with a Menswear Pathway.

I am particularly interested in menswear, especially the tailoring aspects of it. Although, my view on men’s tailoring have been changing since I firstly got interested in it. In the beginning I was mainly interested in very sleek tailoring and somehow obsessed with a well cut navy suit. Working on my graduate menswear collection, I started to play with colours such as orange and also transferring tailoring into street wear and urban style, making it more quirky and fun. For my graduate collection I got an amazing opportunity of working with the renowned Harris Tweed cloth. Thanks to Harris Tweed Authority Educational Trust I got 10 meters of Harris Tweed to use in my graduate collection. Moreover, my work always featured unusual linings, this collection is no different. You will discover that inside my jackets and coat there are ice cream cones.
